Experienced Timber Frame Carpenter
Kinsol Timber Systems is a leader in the design and construction of timber structures, from craft joinery to tall wooden buildings. We are seeking to grow our team by adding several Journeyman Carpenters in support of the execution of our work, both here on the Island and elsewhere.
As the most experienced members of a team, Journeyman Carpenters are expected to lead tasks for groups of Carpenters or Apprentice Carpenters and to support the Supervisor in the delegation and leadership of our work. As part of a larger group, the Carpenter is expected to collaborate with all team members by demonstrating a positive outlook, a willingness to listen, and a can-do attitude. The types of projects vary greatly, from cutting & erecting timber frames, to the preservation and repair of historic structures, to large commercial heavy and mass timber projects.
Competitive compensation offered with benefits, an exceptional working environment located right on Saanich Inlet, exciting projects and an opportunity for even an experienced Carpenter to continue to learn and develop.
Kinsol Timber Systems is an Island-based construction company specializing in unique timber structures both locally and abroad. We are looking to add a part time tool and equipment repair person. The right person will be reasonably local to Mill Bay, flexible in schedule, and a positive, can-do attitude.
This could be an ideal job for a semi-retired millwright or mechanic. The position will flex between 10 and 20 hours per week depending on the need. As a priority, the right candidate will be able to diagnose and repair small power tools, as well as perform routine maintenance on motorized equipment. Reach out to us to discuss further.
